International show jumper and CSI5* Grand Prix winner Abdel Saïd shows Dalman Jump Co. his favorite jumping exercise and explains why he uses DJC in his jump schooling in Wellington, FL.
What you need
The exercise uses several ground rails and an oxer– make sure to have enough standards to build an oxer along with several jump poles.
Setting up the jumping exercise and the overall goal
To start the exercise, set a ground rail 50cm out from the jump, then set an oxer set at a wide width of 1.20-1.50m.
The overall goal of Saïd’s exercise is to get the horse’s arch, or high point, early. This makes the horse use their shoulders better. It makes it so the high point of the jump is a bit earlier so the horse jumps it better. Setting a wide oxer encourages the horse to stretch and use their shoulders. It also helps horses with practicing their jump timing.

Why Abdel Saïd Loves Dalman Jump Co.
Saïd says that DJC jumps mimic those seen at five star events. “Each jump has its own characteristics and they are all very special which I think is really good for the horses. They learn a lot, they see a lot,” he says.
