Over the past few years, USEF Pony Finals has become about more than competing for tricolors in the flat, overfence and model classes; junior riders now look forward to competing for the top spot in the Dalman Jump Co. Kid Jump Grand Prix.
Unlike the typical jumping rounds you see at a horse show, this one asks participants to compete on foot, without their ponies. Challengers race over a meticulously designed course of miniature horse jumps designed by DJC, aka kid jumps. The best time with the least amount of faults takes home the coveted prize: his or her very own horse jump that they get to hand-select from the competition course.
The Sixth Annual Kid Prix will take place on Thursday August 6th at 11 a.m. Participants can sign up by going to the DJC booth before the event takes place.
Apart from the Kid Jump Prix, all USEF Pony Final attendees are invited to visit the DJC booth. Javan Dalman will be at the booth to talk jumps, take orders and lead several other activations that involve stellar prizes.
Jump Drawing Contest
Originating at the 2025 Kentucky Three Day Event, DJC’s Jump Drawing Contest has been a hit ever since. The contest challenges participants to design their very own Grand Prix jump (we’ve seen everything from bath tub-inspired designs to jumps shaped like dragons).
All drawing supplies– paper, pencils, markers and rulers– will be provided at the DJC booth. Entries close Friday afternoon and a panel of judges will choose the top five creations; those will then be posted on Instagram where DJC followers will vote on the winner. The winner receives a DJC kid jump!
